Among other types of upholstery, my dad also did prestige cars. We often had all sorts of wonderful cars in his workshop. In my child’s imagination cars with GT stripes were expensive, and fast. I don’t know why maybe because we had a bog-standard old battered Holden that chugged along.

I chose the vinyl for it’s rich yellow colour - it’s a marine grade vinyl used for boating upholstery. I love the graphic shape of the super duper eyelashes, inspired by all the wonderful drag queens I love. The lashes are made from a rich felt, layered and topstitched for lusciousness.

Combined the stripes and lashes make ‘Fast & Fab No.2’.  

Fast & Fab No.2 has a studded felt base with multi-directional wheels. Approximately 32cm in diameter by 30cm high.
